Maintenance

Washing, maintaining and storing work clothes in the right way is important to not only guarantee durability, but also the functionality of the workwear. Every DASSY garment therefore carries a label with clear washing guidelines, that are always designed to care for the most delicate part of the garment.

INDUSTRIAL OR DOMESTIC LAUNDRY?

You are the expert in your field of work. Then why not leave the washing of your work clothes to professionals? They wash clothes on a much larger scale, have special washing and drying machines, and use the right detergents.

More than just good advice, we strongly recommend to always have safety clothing washed by a professional laundry service.
For DASSY® HiVis and DASSY® Multinorm, look for the indication "max 50 cycles" on the CE label. Make sure to not exceed the maximum number of washes, as safety clothing must always comply with legal safety requirements.

INDUSTRIAL LAUNDRY SYMBOL

You will find this internationally recognised washing symbol on the washing label of all workwear specially developed for industrial washing and drying. These garments are tested and approved in accordance with EN ISO 15797:2017.

The numbers 1 to 8 represent the various test procedures: Do the clothes retain their shape? Are the seams abrasion-resistant? Is the material strong enough? Is the garment colourfast? We test at 75°C and 85°C, both in white wash PRO 4, and in coloured wash PRO 8. At the top right, we check whether the workwear to be dried can go into the tumble dryer, at the bottom right whether the workwear may go into the tunnel finisher for the drying process.

TIP

You will see our DASSY Quality Wash symbol here in the catalogue with all garments that have passed the shrinkage and colour fastness test at 75°C. This is how we test the quality of your garment. Always carefully follow the instructions on the washing label.
